Do you know a toddler struggling to speak? Toddler Talk is an introductory level course on speech and language development designed specifically for parents, caregivers and individuals working with young children (ages birth to 5). Grow your understanding of the typical speech and language milestones and learn simple strategies to promote communication skills as taught by Holly Atkinson- a licensed speech and language pathologist from Cedar Lane Speech.

Participants will have the opportunity to engage in interactive discussions, ask questions, and learn from real-life examples. By the end of the course, participants will feel empowered with a range of tips and tricks to implement at home or in their work with young children, fostering their speech and language development in natural and enjoyable ways.

This is a 3-class course with each class building on the previous one. We recommend attending all 3 classes. Classes one and two will be educational, teaching developmental milestones, and strategies to promote speech and language skills. In the third class, participants are encouraged to bring a child to practice the skills learned in class. Activities will be provided in a structured play environment.

The cost to attend is on a per-family/caregiver basis, with a limit of two parents/caregivers per family registered for the class. Space is limited to 10 families/caregivers, so be sure to sign up before the spots are filled!

Note: This course is not designed to replace professional speech therapy services but rather to provide practical guidance and support for speech and language development in everyday settings.
