Pioneer Playhouse Summer Camp is an active day camp designed for 5 – 8 year olds, with engaging activities to ensure they are moving, learning, and developing throughout each day. Participants must have completed at least 1 year of Kindergarten or be enrolling in the fall of 2026 to attend. Each week is assigned a theme to increase interest in learning and exploration. Campers will have the flexibility to choose between morning, afternoon, or all-day sessions. Any transportation will be provided by Billings Parks and Recreation.
Parents or guardians are required to sign-in and sign-out their camper daily, as well as drop of the completed consent form by the first day of camp. Our Camp counselors are American Red Cross CPR/First Aid Certified and will follow established camp rules to ensure safety at all times. We strive to maintain a 5 to 1 participant to counselor ratio at all times for camp. Any changes due to weather or other unforeseen circumstances will be communicated as soon as possible to parents/guardians.
Required EACH DAY at camp: sack lunch, snacks, water, sunscreen, bug spray, towel, swimsuit, comfortable walking shoes, water shoes and a change of clothes. Personal items and electronics are discouraged at camp (exception during show & tell). Any allergies to food, sunscreen, bug spray, etc. should be communicated to camp staff. We would like to keep our camp “nut-free” as the potential for an allergic reaction may be increased due to the sharing of equipment, art supplies, and toys in the Zimmerman Center. We would like to minimize the possibility in which food residue is transferred from one participant to the other, so please no snacks or lunches with nuts or peanut butter.
