Billings Parks and Recreation Community and Senior Center has many fitness, nutrition and wellness programs. Something for EveryBODY! Learn more about the current classes listed below!

Through our partnership with the Allies in Aging, the City of Billings offers wellness programming at both Allies in Aging locations: 935 Lake Elmo and 1505 Avenue D. We also serve as a meal site for the Senior Lunch Program, providing affordable and nutritious lunches Monday–Friday from 11:45 AM to 12:00 PM. Suggested donations are $6.00 for those 60 and older and $8.00 for those under 60. Reservations are required at least 24 hours in advance.

Strong & Fit – Boost strength, build lean muscle, and combat bone density loss in a safe, supportive environment—while connecting with classmates along the way!

Fitness by Design – This class focuses on strength, balance, cardio and changing up the workout so you never get bored. 

Zumba Gold- Zumba Fitness workout that is low impact and joint friendly with all the same fun!

Cardio Walking- Walk to the Beat – Want to find a fun way to get fit while walking or you want to spice up your walking routine? If that is the case this class is for you. 

Chair Strength Training uses different seated fitness programming which focuses on low impact strength training from a chair. 

Yoga Classes

Gentle Yoga- It is a slow paced, relaxing practice that includes moving the limbs and torso in a comfortable way

Chair Yoga– Yoga in the seated position. Is a low impact movement that helps create strength & balance from the comfort of your chair.

Sit & Get Fit- This 30 minute workout is fun, safe and gentle on your joints. It combines cardio, strength & endurance training right from the comfort of the chair.

30 minute ABS for Seniors – This 30 minute abdomen workout is specifically geared towards safe and effective strength training that will help build your core muscles.

Beginner Drumming for Seniors – In this introductory class you will learn the basics of hand drumming and drumming with others in a drum circle. 

Discovering Nutrition – This class will cover a variety of produce, how to cook it, and its nutritional benefits. Some classes will even feature demonstrations and taste testing!
